Well, I am becoming a devotee of Melody's. It was bound to happen sometime, and here are my early results - this whole piece has not a single bit of piecing! All fused - BRAND new for me (rarely used fusing before two months ago) so I'm pretty happy!
It is FAR from flat, the diagonals aren't straight, and I used too much pink (luminosity balance? What's that!?!?), but I am looking forward to trying the Escape Hatch on it as well (more Melody Magic).
I'm having problems with the bare WU sticking to my sewing machine base (since I still had to zigzag all the exposed edges with monofilament top and bottom), and I'm glad that I didn't put WU on the back of the white piece as well!
I'm still trying to work out how I want to quilt this one, but hopefully I'll get it done this week...
Not only do you take hints, you're pretty darn fast to top it off!
ReplyDeleteI like mending broken dishes piece. How about looking at it for a few days without the borders to see if you like it? The borders seem to abruptly stop the motion that is going on.
