Take 2?

Ok, ok. I finished all the machine work on the purple farm animals quilt, and (Kimberly would be proud) am now hand embroidering the lower case letters next to their appliqued capitals. And I've been doing it in fron of CSI, no less. Maybe Star Trek DS9 and NTG will be so kind as to lend themselves as my backdrop today?

I just overdyed the colors for the girls' quilts today - the colors were perfect, but just not of a deep enough value to make the suckers sing harmony. Now I get to wait and see how these turn out!

BTW - I discovered, completely by accident, that leaving my pieces out IN THE RAIN works great! I had been going for a blurred look, and WOW! I definately got it!

Now I need to go back to boring dye. I'm NOT going to use my good dyes on Maypole ribbons for friends that are getting married this weekend. If RIT was good enough for my Beltain, it's good enough for their wedding! (Plus? They'll never know the difference...)

My DH also needs to get his butt in gear if he thinks we are going camping this weekend. With all this rain and heat and me in the doldrums, I would be perfectly happy to go to the SCA event for the day on Saturday, and leave it at that. He wants camping? He gets to get everything together for it, including garb and food for ME for three days! Humph!
