Gobsmacked

Ok - I get that Melody is a Goddess. We knew that.

I just picked a random year and looked to see what Michelle Hardy was up to during it. She was in *28* shows and had 4 publications - IN ONE YEAR.

I get that these are professional artists at the top of their careers, and I get that they don't have kids (not sure about Michelle, but that certainly seems to apply to MANY of the professional artists I've been reading about), and I get that they do not (or at least publicly are not identified as having) a disability.

I am NOT a professional artist (yet? yeah, right!); I am starting to think that trying to get pregnant is almost as time consuming as having a baby, and hopefully will be a Mom SOON; and that I DO have disabilities. That said, *28*!?!?!?

If I complete half a dozen challenges (I'm not Melody - they still stretch me), maybe 20 total pieces, and even GO TO three fiber/quilt shows, I will consider this a bumper year, and I might have worked my teaching gig 15 hours a week for about 15 weeks of that, and have been 'free' other than that.

My mind boggles...

Celebrate Melody's Goddessness and create your own path as a Goddess...and that way we will have a pantheon of Art Quilt Goddesses all singing our own notes but in a choral. How about that???!!!????
